DEEP NYX / FAQ

FAQ

Before you start.

Straight answers about the app, your devices and your data.

What does DEEP NYX do?

It uses your iPhone to record snoring and breathing sounds during sleep, then helps you review nighttime patterns. Facial geometry and available Apple Health measurements add personal context.

Is this a sleep apnea test?

No. DEEP NYX is a consumer wellness app. It does not diagnose sleep apnea or another medical condition, and it is not a substitute for a clinical evaluation. If snoring or breathing during sleep concerns you, talk to a qualified healthcare professional.

Do I need an Apple Watch?

No. You can use DEEP NYX with an iPhone running iOS 16 or later. A compatible Apple Watch can add measurements through Apple Health, depending on your device and permissions. See device requirements.

Why does the app scan my face?

A one-time scan captures the shape of your face and jaw as context alongside your nighttime sounds. It does not show the internal airway or diagnose a condition. Scanning requires an iPhone with Face ID. Read the face scan notice status.

How long should I record?

The app needs at least 30 minutes of recording for analysis. Start tracking before bed and end it when you wake up.

What happens to my sound recordings?

The app’s sound-processing, storage and retention details have not yet been published on this website. The forthcoming privacy notices will describe them. Check the privacy page.

Can I share my recordings with a healthcare professional?

You can refer to your sleep and snoring history in a care conversation. An app record provides context; it is not a clinical test or diagnosis.

How do I request support or delete my data?

The support and data-deletion workflow is being prepared. This website cannot accept these requests yet. See current support information.

What does this website track?

When you click an App Store button, the website counts that referral by date, page and button location. The counter does not save your name, IP address, device identifier or health information, and it uses no cookies. These are button-click counts, not confirmed app installs.
